me

My name is António Pedro Nascimento, aka APN, born in Lisbon, Portugal. Photography really started when I got my first digital camera, a compact 2 megapixel camera that I loved and carried around everywhere. This allowed me to try lots of ideas and start showing the world as I saw it.
I received my formal education in photography at APAF (Portuguese Association of Photographic Art) starting with an introduction course and then a professional level course that provided a good base to start looking for my own voice when photographing. There I learned about the history of art and photography, darkroom skills and studio lighting.  It also gave me a head start in event and concert photography.

From 2006 to 2012 I worked as a concert photographer with a few print and online specialty publications from Portugal like Blast!, Metalheart and Checksound Magazine. Covering events that ranged from local bands in small clubs to big international acts at Summer festivals.
Relocated to London,England, in 2012 because of my main job as a software developer and decided to concentrate on urban and travel photography with occasional landscape for balance.
